OUR MISSION
To incorporate the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with the Martial Arts
which will help build self confidence, and self discipline.
In doing this we will become:
-Guardian Angels for those who are week and need defending.
-Disciples to spread the word of our Lord and Savior.

The Martial Arts as we know them today have been around for hundreds of years. The Bible and the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ have been around for thousands of years.

We must first look to the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ for inner strengths as well as inner peace. Then to the Martial Arts for our outer strength. God first, then Martial Arts.

The Samurai believes that he must live life properly showing respect to every living thing. He lives a simple life. Pays all his debts regardless of what they are. Avoids all evil. Offends no one. Helps as many people as he can. Defends the weak and does what is morally right.

This lifestyle is known as Bushido or Japanese Chivalry. He firmly believes that if he lives his life by this code of honor, then at any given time he is prepared to die. He lives his life as if this were his last day on earth.

This amazes me because in studying the Bible I find that this is the way Jesus lived his life and the way he wants us to live ours.

I must ask myself these questions:
· Am I afraid of death? If the answer is yes, then I must ask myself why?
· Have I live my life according to the teachings of Jesus Christ?
· Have I protected the weak?
· Have I helped those less fortunate than myself?
· How may people have I brought to Jesus Christ?
· Have I given back to the Lord who has richly blessed me?

These questions are very important but not as important as this one.
·Have I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior?

At Crossroads Church their mission is, Being and Building disciples of Christ.
Let us define this statement to better understand the concept behind the US Christian Academy of the Martial Arts.

Being Disciples of Christ.
First we ourselves must accept the LORD Jesus Christ as our personal savior. (JOHN 3:16) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". Knowing that God gave his only son to die so that we may have eternal life with him is the most wonderful gift anyone can give. (JOHN 15:13)"Greater love has no one that this, that he lay down his life for his friends".When I was working as a bodyguard I would put myself in danger to protect the person I was paid to protect. The key word here is paid. Thinking back, why would I give my life to someone for money? When the money runs out there is nothing. Giving my life to Jesus I would have everlasting life (JOHN 14:6) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me".

Building Disciples of Christ. (MATTHEW 28:19-20) Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. This is called the Great Commission.

In your studies of Gods Word and the Martial Arts you will build your self-confidence enough that you will not be afraid to carry on the Lords Great Commission. As well as building your self-discipline to study on a daily basis the Holy Bible. Everything you will ever need is in the Holy Bible. Whatever you're looking for, God has the answer. There are no questions that God can't answer (Jeremiah 29:11-13) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
